Working as a married couple, we have learned that our skills are best utilized when we work as a team. While we are capable of working independently from one another, hiring one of us will inevitably result in benefiting from the other's expertise and perspective.
Together we have worked in a variety of different areas, including:
• Guided backpacking and rafting trips down the Grand Canyon
•
Filmed a promotional video for the Institute of Permaculture in El Salvador
•
Researched historical figures in El Salvador
•
Coordinated the building of houses in El Salvador for Habitat for Humanity
•
Painted a world map with sixth graders in El Salvador
• Coordinated a reforestation project in 2002 involving 5000 trees
• Developed a service-learning curriculum guide for an international school in Latin America
• Taught environmental education at a residential camp for sixth graders in the Flagstaff Unified School District
•
Taught recreational winter sports in Williams, AZ
•
Led transnational backpacking trips through Central America and Mexico
•
Worked together to obtain wilderness first responder certification
