• Assisted the municipal government in forming and training community groups. Wrote grants for developmental projects. Planned eco-tourism excursions. Aided medical missions and assisted the mayor’s office with translation and NGO partnerships.

• Provided short and long-term disaster relief for 30,000 local earthquake victims.

• Developed and implemented a two-year reforestation program involving 10,000 trees, 15 rural communities, and 300 students.

Personal Statement:   

With over 10 years of experience in Education and Graphic Design, I am seeking an opportunity to utilize my skills and knowledge in an environment that is empowering and socially minded. Educationally, my passion is Latin America History, however, I have taught US History to ESL students, World History to sophomores and juniors in high school, Environmental Education to sixth graders, and Problem Based Learning (PBL) to undergraduates at Northern Arizona University.
